Unfriendly reminder that in America it’s reasonable to say an unarmed black kid deserved to be shot six times because he might have robbed a convenience store, but a white kid shouldn’t be kicked off the high school football team just because he violently raped a girl.
If Mike Brown was white at the very worst he would have been pepper sprayed or tazed, not executed. I know all of tumblr is messaging you right now, but thank you for what you're doing. Although I'm not white, I look white and have gotten a lot of heat for talking about Ferguson on social media and face to face. It's sad that white America is willing to do the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, but no one will even acknowledge what is going on in Ferguson. Keep fighting the good fight
Ireland’s history of atrocities against women would make you vomit your dinner. I can assure you.
Honestly, you could probably say that about any country and I’ll believe you.
I was wondering, what's the point of the riots? I know it's a call for justice, but what change will it actually cause? Is the hope that higher-ups in the government will do something?
Riot is a “code word” for a group of angry black people who are upset about things that white people would rather not take the time to learn about.
Information about the case has been coming out very slowly, and the officer who killed Michael Brown has still not been arrested or charged with murder. The protesters are hoping for more action to be taken.
I live in the uk, and at the moment my only views on the US police come from people commenting on the Ferguson situation. Obviously what happened was terrible, but i was wondering if there are any good things the US police are doing? Like anything at all?? I just feel my perspective could be one sided, as i don't really know anything about the US police other than the horrible things they are doing at in Ferguson at the moment. Thanks:)
